The closed beta for Bleeding Edge kicks off soon, and this video provides a look at one of the three tanks, El Bastardo. Like the other characters, he has basic abilities as well as specials and supers. Starting off with his basic abilities, you will find these to be Machetes and Evade. With Machetes, El Bastardo can hack enemies and steal their energy to add to the Life Support backpack. Life Support, you see, is his passive ability which provides protective shields. This is powered up by basic attacks and specials. Evade will allow him to dodge out of the way of enemies, but it will cost a bit of stamina. Like the other characters, El Bastardo has three specials. Leap of Faith allows him to lock onto an enemy and stun them when hit. Death Spiral turns him into a sword tornado, and Empower lets him steal life from enemies and provide energy to Life Support shields. Finally, his two Supers are Unbreakable and Overload. The former allows him to not be killed for a short while and damage doled out will be extended for the duration. The latter overloads Life Support and deals constant damage to nearby enemies. If you give the video above a watch, Arekkz also goes over some tips and tricks for using him. Previous videos in this series include Daemon, and Buttercup, Nidhoggr, and Zero Cool. Bleeding Edge releases on March 24 and the first of two closed betas kicks off on February 14. The game will support cross-play between Steam, Xbox One, and Windows 10. If you plan on participating in the closed beta, here’s a quick rundown on the game.
